Donald Trump stood by his choice to deploy Nationwide Guard troops to Los Angeles final summer season, noting his motion helped town maintain their place because the host for the 2028 Olympics.
The president addressed the controversial choice throughout his sit down with Tom Llamas on “NBC Nightly Information” Wednesday night, the place he praised the work of ICE and the Nationwide Guard underneath his administration: “We’ve executed an ideal job all over the place.”
Nonetheless, Llamas fact-checked this level, reminding Trump of his conflict with L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom after deploying troops to town amid anti-ICE protests.

Afterward within the interview, Trump teased that there have been 5 cities his administration was “taking a look at” to have a presence in. Although, he refused to specify which cities specifically.

Trump’s feedback come eight months after he responded to protests over Los Angeles immigration raids by deploying hundreds of Nationwide Guard troops, in addition to a whole lot of Marines, to the Southern California metropolis.
