Stephen Amell has been solid because the lead star of the upcoming Baywatch reboot sequence.
The 44-year-old Arrow actor will play Hobie Buchannon, the son of David Hasselhoff‘s iconic character Mitch from the unique sequence. The character was performed by Brandon Name in season one after which later by Jeremy Jackson.
Selection experiences that Hobie is the “wild youngster all of us cherished from the unique sequence” who “is now a Baywatch Captain, following within the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch.”
“Hobie’s world is turned the wrong way up when Charlie, the daughter he by no means knew, exhibits up on his doorstep, keen to hold on the Buchannon household legacy and grow to be a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad,” the outline learn.
It’s unclear if Hasselhoff shall be again for the reboot or not.
Fox has ordered a 12-episode first season for the 2026-2027 broadcast season and an open casting name for extra roles is about for February 18.
