Over the course of his profession, author and showrunner Invoice Lawrence has grown so adept on the mechanics of fine, “good” comedy that he might write a collection like “Rooster” in his sleep. Between his work in creating really feel good comedies reminiscent of his current work in “Ted Lasso” and “Shrinking,” to the contact of melodrama that sneaks into even the extra irreverent episodes of “Scrubs,” he has finely tuned the mechanics of mixing office and hangout comedies with the formidable assist of sturdy, ensemble casts (usually with a well-known face or two from his earlier works.)
