Nvidia quickly shuts Dubai workplaces, Amazon tells staff to work remotely amid tensions in West Asia


Prime tech corporations, together with Nvidia and Amazon, have urged staff in Dubai to work remotely amid the continued battle in West Asia after joint US-Israel strikes on Iran over the weekend.

Chip big Nvidia quickly shut down its Dubai workplaces and had staff work remotely, in line with a CNBC report citing an e mail despatched by CEO Jensen Huang to all staff early Tuesday.

Huang stated in his memo that Nvidia’s disaster administration staff has been “working across the clock and actively supporting affected staff and their households” within the area, together with round 6,000 Nvidia staff based mostly in Israel.

Amazon has instructed all of its company staff within the Center East to work remotely and “comply with native authorities tips,” the report stated.

The e-commerce big operates company workplaces within the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Turkey and Israel.
