A rookie deckhand on a fishing vessel featured in “Deadliest Catch” is lifeless … and it occurred at sea.
Todd Meadows died Wednesday aboard the Aleutian Woman on the Bering Sea … in line with a Fb publish from “Deadliest Catch” star Captain Rick Shelford.
Our sources say the deckhand died in a fishing-related incident throughout filming, although it is unclear if the cameras caught the incident on tape.
Captain Shelford referred to as the deadly incident the “most tragic day” on his boat … and he says Todd earned everybody’s respect immediately along with his love for fishing and a robust work ethic.
He says Todd’s “smile was contagious, and the sound of his laughter developing the wheelhouse stairs or over the deck hailer is one thing we’ll carry with us at all times.”
Captain Shelford provides … “Todd’s love for his kids, his household, and his life was evident in every thing he did. He labored laborious, cherished deeply, and introduced pleasure to these round him.”
Our sources say after Todd’s demise, a memo was despatched to “Deadliest Catch” producers informing them in regards to the incident and offering assets to assist take care of grieving.
Captain Shelford says … “Proper now, our hearts are damaged in a means that phrases can’t totally categorical. We ask that you simply raise Todd’s kids and household in prayer and maintain them in your ideas as they face the times forward with out him.”
He provides … “Todd will endlessly be a part of this boat, this crew, and this brotherhood. Although we misplaced him far too quickly, his legacy will dwell on by his kids and in each reminiscence we feature of him.”
In a press release, a spokesperson for Discovery Channel tells TMZ … “We’re deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Todd Meadows. It is a devastating loss, and our hearts are along with his family members, his crewmates, and your complete fishing group throughout this extremely tough time.”
Todd was solely 25.
