Danny Elfman is paying tribute to Catherine O’Hara.
A day after the sudden dying of the 71-year-old actress on Friday, he took to Instagram to mourn the loss. For those who don’t know, the longtime Tim Burton collaborator/composer sang for the character Jack Skellington and voiced the characters Barrell and The Clown with the Tear-Away Face within the movie, whereas Catherine voiced Sally and Shock. Alongside a number of photos of them collectively, Danny wrote:
“I’m nonetheless in shock. Pal, colleague, comrade in mischief, for practically 40 years. Her expertise was actually outstanding. She shall be deeply missed.”

Over time, Catherine has reunited with Danny to carry out the music from the traditional movie, together with again in 2023 when she sang Sally’s Music on the iconic Los Angeles amphitheater. We’ll miss seeing them on stage collectively.
